The Holiness Of God

This book is key to all believers looking desiring and needing to gain a deeper understanding of God’s Holiness. I find Sproul to be a teacher with the ability to paint the picture about any given topic, without taking away from the topic itself. In otherwords, when it comes to teaching on God it’s easy to get 10 pages into a book and find yourself saying this is a good book so far BUT that one point is a bit iffy or get through the entire thing to find a list of buts about one thing or another that contradicts the scriptures. I find that Sproul does the job of breaking down the scriptures in a way that the reader understand, yet without taking away from that which God is speaking via the scriptures, of course my opinion may very well be a biased one.

This is a book that you’ll want to read day and night, but at the same time want to throw at a wall. That you will find yourself filled with so much joy in reading it, but also leave your heart so heavy that you want to crawl up in a ball and weap...but in a good way. God’s holiness has the tendency to make u angry make us joyful make us sorrowful all in one sitting.
