The Daily Dish-Fat Smash Diet Day #1
Okay so today I start The Fat Smash Diet, at least the 9 day detox portion. Thinking I’ll at least do a week of the diet itself (phase after detox), since it so closely models what I’m already doing/eating didn’t see the need at first however that bit of structure may help in staying consistent and not straying into sugar land so I shall see. So far so good with this detox, as suspected it is easier than my prior detox’s because there is a bit more variety offered. Basically I’m allowed to eat any fruits and veggies I want, I can have 2 low fat yogurts daily, I can eat skim or 1% milk and a few other things outside of fruits veggies & whole grains. The book sets up an eating schedule, a suggested one not a mandatory one, and it helps give an idea of how to space out meals and not deprive oneself of the foods alloted. Also my normal detox consists of taking supplements and I’m horrible with pills. That’s how I originally found out or rather considered doing the fat smash because no pills and 9 days oppose to 14. If nothing else it’s a nice change, I’ll see if I stick to this as a detox method or go back to that which I know. Wasn’t so much looking to replace the detox I typically do either but this puts me in the mind that I don’t have to spend the $ to buy the kit and I’m doing so naturally with foods.
I know that most of this, as is always the case will be mental in terms of completing the detox successfully. Killing the flesh, resisting cravings, turning down dine out offers or making choices that fits if I do take them on. And most importantly praying and doing so without ceasing as in not just daily but every time a temptation crosses my path, no matter how much it crosses. So I’m ready I feel good that I’ll come out of it successful and while this is not a fast per se, will also be in prayer mode as I kill this flesh and discipline my body to do what’s needed not always what’s wanted.
8 more days to go!!
