Strawberry Banana Smoothie

This review kinda falls in the middle in terms of rather one should chew on this or not chew on this. Actually this one would be sip on this ha ha:) I kept buying the Dunkin Donuts Smoothie and thinking this is way too good to be true. I must have grazed the NI the first time I checked out the website and missed the High Fructose Corn Syrup among other things. Sodium’s not too pretty either with this pink beauty, nor is the amount of Carbs and Sugar IMO. The Dunkin Donuts that I visit tend to have the machine out of view, so I was able to see the liquid poured (rather than fresh fruit) when I visited another location, which prompted me to take a much closer look at the details of this smoothie.

I can’t lie it’s really really good! The calories although high I felt a fulfilling high where if I drank this smoothie when I’m craving something sweet, it’ll prevent me from wolfing down something that’s 500 calories or more later. There are other smoothies that I plan to review here that are good as well, this one just gives the impression of a milkshake, a really sweet strawberry milkshake oppose to a really nice thick smoothie with low fat yogurt. Hence my dilemma of totally writing this one off. I will say this much, don’t make this one a daily part of your diet or even a weekly. If every now and again the craving hits and you’re looking for a better alternative than the banana nut cake with butter cream icing you’re eyeballing, using the excuse that it’s decorated with strawberries as a good reason to eat it. This would be your gal. Yet the better choice would be to fight it altogether and either make your own or seek a healthier alternative.
