McDonald’s Is My Kinda Place

Remember that song from back in the day? No? OK anyway, I know someone is thinking who in the heck doesn’t know about McDonald’s already. Why in the world would we need to read a review about them! Well of course most of us, especially in America have dined at McDonald’s probably more times than we’d like to admit. However if you’ve gone into diet mode ever, this most likely is the first spot off the list when it comes to the places not to eat out at.....with the exception of “cheat days”.  Well I’m here to tell you about how you can have McDonald’s on occasion, while still watching your intake.

My favorites are for breakfast Egg Mcmuffins which has 300 Calories and 12 Grams of fat.  For lunch, I like the Chicken Ceasar I do the Crispy which is 300 Calories and 13 grams of fat, which neither is all that bad fat and calorie wise when you’re doing 17 calories daily and 35 grams of fat. With my salad I’ll have the Newman’s Balsamic Vinaigrette, just like with Amazon if I could find this on the shelves...oh wait I can it just tastes nothing like the way it does at McDonalds!! The dressing adds 40 calories and 3 grams of fat. Also, I prefer the crispy chicken over the grilled because it just tastes better to me. And when I’m satisfied I don’t binge and I don’t feel as if I’m “on a diet. Yet knock yourself out with the grilled Chica.

Also I don’t do breakfast and lunch in the same day mind you, these are merely examples of what I do eat when I go.  Other goodies to buy when at Mickey D’s:

Fruit Parfait good stuff
Fruit and Walnut Salad- I so heart this salad remeber walnuts are full of the good fats
Apple Dippers
Reduced fat ice cream cones
Premium Chicken Sandwich, watch the kind however, hold the mayo cut calories and fat

And because I’m a firm believer of everything in moderation, of course keeping in mind your weaknesses better to pluck it out than to indulge and finding yourself needing Remember that song from back in the day? But as I was saying nothing is off limits on their menu, I do advice that the higher the calories the less it’s taken in. For instance a Big Mac every now and again can do you good while you stay on track because you’re keeping up with your calorie intake. Yet wouldn’t recommend it for daily or even weekly consumption.  However McDonald’s is a good one to keep on your restaurants to go to because it’s convenient, inexpensive and familiar enough to be a friendly reminder of how you can eat and still lose weight. I’d advice not to dip too much in this delight for the sake of health when it comes to certain menu choices more so than calorie consumption.

So out of a possible 5 stars, I’d give Mickey D’s a 3.to attend a McDonald’s anonymous meeting.
