Chew on This-Edy’s Slow Churned

image

It’s been a little while since I’ve done a Chew on this Post, so thought there to be no time like the present to change that. Edy’s Slow Churned has to be one of the best ice creams I’ve ever tasted, low fat or otherwise. I have to say it took me some time to even try it and if it were not on sale the day that I did, I’m sure I would not have. Ice creams that are low in fat or calories typically (in my experience of course) taste like soft ice mixed with skim milk and whatever flavor it’s suppose to represent, ewwww not my idea of good. Yet Edy’s although it tastes different from some of my favorite ice creams (friendly’s Ben and Jerry’s etc) it’s more like a taste of this is different than this low fat. Thus far I’ve tried the vanilla (pictured) and I use this homemade strawberry sauce to go over it mmm mmm mmm is all I can say. I currently have the one of the yogurt blends, Black Cherry Vanilla Swirl which doesn’t disappoint either. Be aware that the serving size is 1/2 a cup, I use an ice cream scooper, getting one scoop and it’s plenty for me.

This definitely qualifies as one to chew on, the NI featured below is for the vanilla, the Black Cherry Vanilla Swirl has similar NI however you can get exact details here.
