Soul Food 9/11
In doing a Soul Food post for today, I was reminded of an email forward sent to me by my friend and sis in Christ and thought it would be the perfect thing to share here. Included the passing of the email part of it because it’s equally important:)
The ‘ L I T T L E ‘ Things~
As you might know, the head of a company survived
9/11 because his son started kindergarten.
Another fellow was alive because it was
His turn to bring donuts.
One woman was late because her
Alarm clock didn’t go off in time.
One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike
Because of an auto accident.
One of them
Missed his bus.
One spilled food on her clothes and had to take
Time to change.
One’s
Car wouldn’t start.
One couldn’t
Get a taxi.
The one that struck me was the man
Who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
Took the various means to get to work
But before he got there, he developed
a blister on his foot.
He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today..
Now when I am
Stuck in traffic ,
Miss an elevator,
Turn back to answer a ringing telephone ...
All the little things that annoy me.
I think to myself,
This is exactly where
God wants me to be
At this very moment..
Next time your morning seems to be
Going wrong ,
The children are slow getting dressed,
You can’t seem to find the car keys,
You hit every traffic light,
Don’t get mad or frustrated;
It May be just that
God is at work watching over you.
May God continue to bless you
With all those annoying little things
And may you remember their possible purpose.
Pass this on to someone else, if you’d like.
There is NO LUCK attached.
If you delete this, it’s okay:

A M E N
I pray that anyone effected by this event rather directly or indirectly that the Lord is still comforting and showing how He’s sovereign even in the mist of evil and that nothing passes His sight and will be judged. There are even stories of people who did make it to work that day that were delivered out of it and even other stories of those who didn’t make it but who’s family has awesome stories of how God used them in the tragedy and in the end took them who believed on to Glory. May those be the things that we reflect on this day.
The semi-daily dish-the resistance ball
First thing first, since I’m not doing this feature daily I will be working on a new title for this portion of the blog:) Or simply dedicate to doing it daily again:) Okay on to the purpose of this post:) I’ve recently purchased a resistance ball and I adore it. Basically I have the most difficult time doing sit ups and for the longest I’d planned to purchase a mat. However when I went to make mat purchase, I’d noticed the resistance ball, which I’d recently tried out at the gym (and liked it) so decided to get it instead. It felt awkward at first, kept feeling like I’d fall off of the thing, yet once I got over
Have you seen her?! Kierra Sheard
I was just watching a youtube video of an interview of Kierra Sheard and one question posed to her were about challenges. She stated that people told her she was too big to have this career. For one I was shocked and not sure why, because she’s a Christian artist and that absolutely shouldn’t be the focus in terms of seeking a certain image oppose to being concerned about health and taking care of her temple. Then it dawned on me I never really looked at Kierra as the big girl. Again could have something to do with that not really being the focus for the Christian yet can’t say for sure because as writer for
